TAAP releases mobile smart repair estimating & invoicing system
TAAP’s mobile smart repair estimating solution is gaining traction in the automotive industry. With more dealerships and automotive service providers looking to offer added value to customers, smart repair has become an important revenue stream for these outlets to embrace because more motorists are choosing to address repairs than purchase new vehicles. TAAP has met this demand by releasing a system which improves processing of smart repair estimates & invoices by eliminating paper and removing unnecessary administration.
The system works using mobile devices loaded with TAAP’s software application which allows smart repair professionals to manage vehicle assessment estimates and invoices electronically. The data is then saved ‘in the cloud’ and is accessible via a customised web portal. It enables smart repair technicians to provide improved customer service to both their trade and retail clients.
Estimates or invoices can be created for vehicle bodywork or interior repairs by choosing from a drop down list of pre-loaded elements with associated costs, which are added as line items. Pricing can be over-written as required.
Vehicle photographs can be taken as part of the estimate/invoice and annotations to the photo made directly on to the device’s screen. Different colours and line thicknesses are available, as are spot markers. A vehicle flat plan diagram is incorporated so that this can be marked up to display specific areas for repair, which assists greatly with job management and visual record keeping.
Paul George, Business Development Manager, commented “the system is designed so that smart repair professionals can have their own repair and price lists loaded, which minimises the time it takes to create an estimate. If an estimate is agreed upon, it can be retrieved easily by searching for the vehicle registration number or estimate reference, and converted into an invoice. It makes the whole process much quicker and more accurate, and ultimately improves cash flow.”
Applications are delivered via the TAAP Store, where TAAP delivers business applications in the cloud using Microsoft Azure. The TAAP platform is layered onto Azure and therefore benefits from the investment Microsoft has made in nonstop computing and which provides resilience and scalability for the largest of its clients.
Set-up time to going live is typically two to three weeks, inclusive of device, airtime, and configuration for each client.
TAAP is a leading provider of software solutions which allow organisations to mobilise their operations using hand held computers.
