TAAP selected as BCS & Computing UK IT Industry Award Finalist
TAAP has been selected as a Finalist in the BCS & Computing UK IT Industry Awards - Technology Excellence Section. The category entered - Mobile Product of the Year - reflects TAAP's commitment to providing mobile business applications to all types of organisation.
The UK IT Industry Awards see a new venture between BCS and Computing, merging the BCS IT Industry Awards and the Computing Awards for Excellence to create one platform for the entire profession to celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence.
The entry centres around TAAP's Field Force application and how it is being used (in very different ways) by a large London-based NHS Trust, and a leading vehicle inspection service provider - VQS.
TAAP is delighted to be selected as a Finalist for the award - Managing Director, Gordon Smillie, commented - "It's great news that TAAP's Field Force solution has been chosen as a finalist in these prestigious awards, and we're extremely pleased that the flexibility of the solution is proving successful in many industries."
David Clarke, BCS chief executive says: “I’m particularly pleased to see so many entries in these difficult economic conditions; it reinforces the importance of IT in delivering business and social benefit. Our Awards are central to our drive to create the IT profession and the finalists can be proud of their achievements."
Robin Booth, Publishing Director of Computing comments: “The Awards are a showcase for the very best in the UK IT industry and those who have been announced as finalists can be very proud of their outstanding achievement. The next stage of judging is going to be very difficult. The variety of entrants emphasises not only the value of IT today, but also the way which it touches so many areas of life.”
